Cambridgeshire is rich in museums, from fascinating local history museums such as Ely and St Neots, specialist collections including stained glass and military history, to the internationally important collections of the University of Cambridge.

Museums in Cambridgeshire (MiC)  is an active partnership organisation that advocates for museums in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.  MiC supports staff, trustees and volunteers and promotes their work to strategic partners, funders and visitors.   We work closely with the Cambridgeshire Museums Forum and the Cambridge Heritage Education Group to ensure that museums and their staff can access information, participate in collaborative projects and have their voices heard.

Museums in Cambridgeshire has evolved from Cambridgeshire Museums Advisory Partnership, following a review of CMAP in 2014.  We hope that the new organisation will be more efficient, dynamic, and better able to respond to the changing climate within the museums and cultural sector.
