Here is this week’s round up of Cambridgeshire museum news items:
1. Firstly, can I say that I find the SHARE e-bulletin indispensable for regional museum news, not just from SHARE but for job adverts and lots of more general stuff. If you don’t already, why not subscribe at http://sharemuseumseast.org.uk/sign-up-to-the-share-ebulletin/?
2. The SHARE Volunteer Coordinators Forum has its next meeting at the wonderful Ipswich Transport Museum on 15 June. Booking is open at http://sharemuseumseast.org.uk/events/voluntary-volunteer-co-ordinators-co-ordinating-volunteers/.
3. Please sign your museum up for the 2016-2017 SHARE Benchmarking survey, which is now open at http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/benchmarking1617, closing date 30 August. I will take copies of the brilliant printed summary of the 2015-2016 survey to the Cambridgeshire Museums Forum meeting on 30 June at the Farmland Museum. Cambridgeshire had an excellent return rate for the last survey but let’s make this year even better!
4. SHARE have a meeting at Colchester Castle on 29 June for those interested in planning for Takeover day on 17 November. Details are at http://sharemuseumseast.org.uk/events/kids-in-museums-takeover-day-2017-planning-and-sharing-event/.
